Cabin fever? Maybe.
I’ve changed the look of this site, but more importantly I’ve changed the function or purpose or something.
I decided to put the job dollars to use for something I love ( my art) and upgrade the service I use for my shop. The shop now has its own site and is awesome. What was not awesome was the blog function on that upgrade. I’m keeping the blog here.
On the menu, when you click Shop Art, it will take you to the new shop. When you are at the shop and click Blog, it will bring you to the blog here. I hope that isn’t too much of a PITA.
Under the About Me you’ll find links to my yarn adventures and to a new thing I’m working on called The Myth Project. Those sites have their own blogs.
I wanted everything I do to be together, but have some space. You choice what area of my work you want to see.
I’m excited about the new shop though. I’ll be able to use it for all the things I create and I think it will make buying from me so much easier and customer friendly. That’s important.
I’ve been sticking to my plan of recording all of my paintings. It is taking some getting used to and my video skills have a long way to go, but I’m having fun. All the videos are posted to Youtube. They are available to my Patreon supporters for the first 3-5 days and then available to everyone. Some of my videos will remain Patreon only. My plan is to grow my youtube channel and have it grow interest in my work and Patreon page.
I will also be posting yarn related videos to this channel to share with my yarn Patreon. I really want to get back to hand dyeing.
I’m still trying to find the balance between this blog and how I share things on Patreon. I’m not totally convinced that Patreon is the right place for me, but I want to give it a chance. Everything is kinda new since I haven’t been offering my artwork in this way for very long.
The Kickstarter for the Inner Knowing deck didn’t not reach the funding goal. At this moment I’m not sure how I’m going to get the deck done, but I’m still going to work toward getting it created. I might be able to get enough art done for a sample deck by the end of the year. Fingers crossed. I’m not giving up on this idea. The intuitive messages that come through these paintings are amazing at helping me sort through my own shit.
